Mastana is the flagship event of CUHCS, a diverse broad Asian Cultural show featuring a multitude of different acts. These range from more contemporary Western Acts such as tributes to Michael Jackson to Bhangra and traditional Indian Classical Dancing such as Bharatnatyam and Kathak acts, alongside everything in between. We showcase singers, dancers, actors, comedians, models for a fashion show and much more. The show is normally held around March time in the prestigious Corn Exchange in Cambridge, revelled as being the venue for all famous talent performing in Cambridge. The show raises approximately £10,000 per year which is donated to various charities. In 2012, these were Child in Need, India and Street Child, Africa. You can show your support by getting involved on the committee itself, performing in the show or even by simply attending the show. As you can imagine, the scale of the show means that Mastana has a separate committee to CUHCS, who begin their preparations near October for the show in March. Mastana reaches a huge audience including not only Cambridge students, but also those from the surrounding area from other universities, including Oxford, Anglia Ruskin and Imperial College London. In addition to this, we have those from the local community attending alongside friends and family from across the globe. Mas tana presents a unique publicity opportunity and so if you're interested in sponsoring the show, please contact our President at president[at]cuhcs.org.uk |

Bhagavatinandji Education and Health Trust (BEHT) is charity that helps to change lives in India through placing major focus on education. BEHT has established 4 educational centres in Gujarat in collaboration with Bhagavatinandji Education Trust (BET) in India.
There are two types of donations - the first type is for capital projects (e.g. building, equipment etc.) and the second type is for running expenses (e.g. school fees, food, daily general expense etc.) Our fundraising event will be fundamental in helping this organisation to fulfil its vision, thus changing thousands of lives for the better.
What makes BEHT special is that the trustees personally visit the area regularly - generally at least once a year. They have a very close working relationship with the local people who do all the work, monitoring each project in terms of finance, physical inspection and successful completion, in addition to its on-going progress.
